Sanity Sunday- The Music of Zach Winters

 by Nomad

Norman, Oklahoma-based artist Zach Winters has been described as "a multi-instrumentalist, a reader, a man of faith, a writer and a dedicated husband and father." According to his bio, Winters has had the honor to sing for Syrian refugees, laboring mothers, orphans in Mexico, and his friends, neighbors and family.

Despite all that, Winters prefers the  intimate atmosphere of coffee houses rather than bars, because his music "leans on the more contemplative side."
But wherever I play, I’m hoping to be able to connect with the people there, through the music and hopefully in person as well.
Here's a sample of his lyrics from his song They Were Longing for a Better Country. (That could very well be the mission statement of this blog.)

I want to sit down and hear your mind;
I don’t want to leave anyone behind.
And when I talk about it
I don’t mean this is the way it’s got to be.
Let’s think of all the world and its possibilities;

Here are two of his albums, free for listening, available for download. To Have You Around was released in June 2017 and Monarch in November 2014.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Sunday.
